BRAE Design is a residential design studio led by Dakota Pickering, who offers creative, practical and detailed architectural plans for anything from new build construction to additions to remodels.
My approach is centered around collaboration with clients, taking the time to understand the outcome they want, and designing based on their wants and needs. It’s important for me to design a space that the clients are happy with, something they feel at home in.
Whether it's freshening up an existing home, or designing your dream home from scratch, I love combining aesthetics with functionality to create stylish and timeless designs. Throughout the collaboration, clients can expect open communication, transparency, and regular updates on the progress of their project.
Once construction has started, visiting the site may or may not be pertinent to the scope of work, but I always enjoy getting to see the site and how the construction process is coming along. Site visits offer a chance to witness the craftsmanship of skilled contractors and to collaborate in person with the construction crew.
